Donation from the Organisation for the Protection of Music Copyrights of Montenegro
The Boka Symphony Orchestra has enriched its instrumental lineup with a new addition – a concert bass drum, provided through the support of the Organisation for the Protection of Music Copyrights of Montenegro (PAM CG).
As stated in the official announcement, this valuable instrument represents an important contribution to the ensemble’s continued artistic development, enabling the performance of more demanding and diverse repertoire. It further strengthens the Orchestra’s capacity to reach a higher level of artistic expression.
According to the Director of the Boka Symphony Orchestra, Andrea Živković, PAM CG recognised the Orchestra’s potential at a moment when such support was most needed.
“The funds were allocated for a specific purpose – the acquisition of a concert bass drum – and directly contribute to the quality of our sound and the expansion of the repertoire we present to our audience. In less than a year, the Boka Symphony Orchestra has grown into a recognisable and important part of Montenegro’s cultural scene, and partnerships like this further confirm its value and potential. This brings with it both responsibility and motivation to continue delivering the highest level of artistic performance. We believe this is the first in a series of joint initiatives,”
said Živković.
The Executive Director of PAM CG, Vasilije Raičević, highlighted that the Boka Symphony Orchestra represents a valuable and significant new ensemble that is already making a meaningful contribution to the development of Montenegro’s music scene.
“The support provided by PAM CG aims to enhance the accessibility of art music, while also preserving and promoting the rich musical heritage of the Bay of Kotor, as well as encouraging the performance of works by composers from this region. Initiatives such as this create stable foundations for the further development of musical creativity and the strengthening of professional standards in this field,” he stated.
