DESCRIPTION:On 1 January 2026 at 12:00\, the Boka Symphony Orchestra will open the year with a festive New Year Concert at the main square in Budva\, organised by the Budva Tourist Organization. The programme will bring together opera\, operetta\, and orchestral favourites\, offering a graceful introduction to the year ahead. \nThe orchestra will perform under the baton of maestro Robert Homen\, with an exceptional lineup of soloists: sopranos Milica Zdravković and Lana-Asija Dabović\, mezzo-soprano Amanda Stojović\, tenor Ileš Bečei\, and flautist Petra Lekić. \nThe concert will feature works by Johann Strauss II\, Mozart\, Verdi\, Puccini\, Dvořák\, Bizet\, Offenbach\, Delibes\, Lehár\, and Sartori. Highlights of the programme will include Dvořák’s “Moon Song” from Rusalka\, Bizet’s Habanera from Carmen\, Puccini’s “O mio babbino caro”\, as well as instrumental brilliance in François Borne’s Fantaisie brillante sur Carmen for flute and orchestra. Vocal duets such as Lehár’s “Lippen schweigen” and Sartori’s “Con te partirò” will further enrich the afternoon’s performance. \nOpen to residents and visitors alike\, the New Year Concert will bring a sense of celebration\, warmth\, and cultural elegance to Budva’s winter festivities\,setting a refined tone for the year to come.
