DESCRIPTION:More than six decades later\, KotorArt brings The Doll Clinic\, a children’s musical fairy tale by Vida Matjan\, based on a text by Jovan Aleksić\, back to the stage. \nIn this warm and playful production\, orchestra\, choir\, actors\, and children from the primary music schools of Kotor\, Tivat\, and Herceg Novi come together to pay tribute to the remarkable artist and educator whose name is proudly carried by the music school in Kotor. \nPerforming on stage will be Andrea Živković (flute)\, Milena Rajković (violin)\, Lara Bubanja (clarinet)\, Milorad Balić(percussion)\, Jovanka Veljović (Clavinova)\, and Dejan Đonović (actor)\, together with the Choir of the Vida Matjan School for Primary and Secondary Music Education\, conducted by Anđela Homen\, as well as numerous young performers from Kotor\, Tivat\, and Herceg Novi. \nThe costumes and set design were created by the project partners\, Kotor Museums\, bringing the enchanting stage world of this children’s musical fairy tale to life. \nThis musical fairy tale will introduce young audiences to a magical world of music and imagination\, while reminding adults of the beauty of childhood. \n📅 Tuesday\, August 11\n🕘 9:00 PM\n📍 Nikola Đurković Cultural Centre\, Kotor \n🎟️ Admission is free\, but advance seat reservation is required. \n📞 Reservations can be made every working day from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM by calling 069 333 891. \nℹ️ Reserved tickets can be collected at the Cultural Centre box office on the day of the performance\, starting two hours before the event. \n✨ Bring the little ones and discover together a fairy tale in which music\, play\, and imagination create unforgettable moments.

Such is the story of The Doll Clinic\, a musical fairy tale for children created more than six decades ago by Vida Matjan\, based on a text by Jovan Aleksić. \nThrough careful research into Vida Matjan’s rich artistic legacy\, the score of the work was rediscovered and is now being brought back to life on stage in a new production. With an orchestra\, choir\, soloists\, and young actors\, the audience will enter a world in which dolls tell a story about life\, its joys and challenges\, friendship\, and growing up. \nFor adults\, the performance will be a powerful reminder of childhood and the strength of memory\, while for younger audiences it will be an invitation to discover imagination\, curiosity\, and the beauty of creating together through music\, theatre\, and play. \nThe performance will feature the Chamber Ensemble of the Boka Symphony Orchestra\, students\, and the Choir of the Vida Matjan School for Primary and Secondary Music Education\, creating a unique tribute to a woman whose knowledge\, passion\, and dedication left a lasting mark on the musical life of this region. \nConducted by Anđela Homen\, this special performance brings generations together and offers an opportunity to preserve and share the legacy of Vida Matjan\, a woman whose name continues to inspire new musicians and audiences. \nThe costumes and set design were created by the project partners\, Kotor Museums (@muzejikotor). \n📅 August 13\, 2026\n🕘 8:30 PM\n📍 Main Hall of the Tivat Cultural Centre \n🎟️ Admission is free\, but seating is limited.
