La Serva Padrona in Kotor

One of the most famous comic operas of all time is coming to Montenegro in a new, contemporary stage interpretation.

Pergolesi’s La serva padrona is an entertaining story about a clever maid and her master, but also a witty and insightful exploration of power, identity, and emotion — themes that remain just as relevant today as they were in the 18th century.

Directed by Paolo Tišljarić and conducted by Mladen Tarbuk, this new production brings together Baroque music and contemporary theatrical expression. La serva padrona is not only a story about changing social roles, but also about a world in which identity, love, and power have become a performance.
