Montenegro is marking twenty years since the restoration of its independence, and on this occasion Kotor will transform into a grand open-air concert stage beneath the stars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAt Trg od Oru\u017eja, in the heart of the Old Town, on Thursday, 21 May, starting at 20:00, the Boka Symphony Orchestra will present a ceremonial concert bringing audiences together for a unique musical experience worthy of this important jubilee. Under the baton of maestro Mladen Tarbuk, with a performance by soprano Milica Zdravkovi\u0107, the audience can expect an evening filled with powerful emotions and exceptional music,\u201d the orchestra\u2019s PR team announced.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The programme, they added, features magnificent overtures by some of the greatest names in the world of opera \u2014 Giuseppe Verdi, Dionisio de Sarno, and Ludwig van Beethoven \u2014 alongside selected works by Montenegrin composers Borislav Tamind\u017ei\u0107, \u017darko Mirkovi\u0107, Sr\u0111an Bulatovi\u0107, Darko Nik\u010devi\u0107, and Nikola Radunovi\u0107, combining tradition with contemporary musical expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme commemorating 21 May, organised by the Municipality of Kotor, the Public Institution Cultural Centre \u201cNikola \u0110urkovi\u0107\u201d, the Public Institution \u201cMuseums\u201d Kotor, Komunalno d.o.o., and the Kotor Tourist Organisation, also includes the performance of the orchestra as part of the official celebration programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
