Mirjana Jovanović completed her primary and secondary music education at the School for Primary and Secondary Music Education Vida Matjan in Kotor. In 2008, she graduated with a degree in Viola from the Music Academy in Cetinje, where she is currently completing her Master’s studies.
During her education, she received numerous awards and distinctions and participated in numerous masterclasses in Montenegro and abroad.
Since 2007, she has been an active member of the Montenegrin Symphony Orchestra, performing extensively and gaining significant professional experience through symphonic and concert activities. Alongside her orchestral career, she has been deeply involved in chamber music. She has performed as a member of the piano quintet Stretto and the piano trio Tarantella, and she is currently an active violist of the string quartet Cattaro.
From 2021 to 2024, she worked as a part-time violin and viola teacher at the School for Primary and Secondary Music Education Vida Matjan in Kotor.
In parallel with her performing career, Mirjana Jovanović has developed a strong profile in arts management. She is the manager of the Balkan Cellos project and the founder and manager of the Bokelian Symphony Orchestra, where she leads the organizational and strategic development of the ensemble, oversees production and concert planning, and works on building sustainable cultural projects that contribute to the artistic and cultural life of the Bay of Kotor region.
