The Doll Clinic, a children’s musical fairy tale

More than six decades later, KotorArt brings The Doll Clinic, a children’s musical fairy tale by Vida Matjan, based on a text by Jovan Aleksić, back to the stage.

In this warm and playful production, orchestra, choir, actors, and children from the primary music schools of Kotor, Tivat, and Herceg Novi come together to pay tribute to the remarkable artist and educator whose name is proudly carried by the music school in Kotor.

Performing on stage will be Andrea Živković (flute), Milena Rajković (violin), Lara Bubanja (clarinet), Milorad Balić(percussion), Jovanka Veljović (Clavinova), and Dejan Đonović (actor), together with the Choir of the Vida Matjan School for Primary and Secondary Music Education, conducted by Anđela Homen, as well as numerous young performers from Kotor, Tivat, and Herceg Novi.

The costumes and set design were created by the project partners, Kotor Museums, bringing the enchanting stage world of this children’s musical fairy tale to life.

This musical fairy tale will introduce young audiences to a magical world of music and imagination, while reminding adults of the beauty of childhood.
